Balena is known not only for Etcher, but for several other products as well such as openBalena, balenaOS, balenaEngine and more. Balena is the name of both a set of open source tools for managing connected IoT (Internet of Things) devices, and the company who develops those tools and offer cloud infrastructure for connecting those devices.
